This really struck a chord. I despise the system whilst knowing I’m enmeshed in it. I don’t yet know how to hold the balance. The system makes me angry and at the same time I don’t see a way out without mass non compliance. And that seems far away.
Hells yes to complexity, and owning our complicity in these systems, as a way of taking agency and ownership to the toxic systems that live through us...What enrages me even more are the so-called Sovereignty-seeker/libertarians that are literally building their own nation-states (which are basically gated communities/tax havens for the wealthy "decentralized" pirates) but are not owning the replication of systems of extraction they are creating...so much shadow material here, that will continue to get more delulu in the coming period, for sure...sincere inner-purification & taking full responsibility for our own entanglements as the systems unravel is the (noble) path forward...we're in for a ride.
This articulates my current position very well. And has been a cause for much of my discomfort, shame but also necessary dependence in my current state - physical dependence on a system that has flaws that I’m actively benefiting from but have been harmed as a result of - none of which leaves me with a deep knowing there is no one person to blame, no single event or point of contact but a series of - and… now what? It’s the honesty in realness that doesn’t know what to do with it. Which creates friction, frustration and an endless loop of indecision.
Well said. This is the level of nuance and discomfort many people are unwilling to sit with. The polarised, "I'm opting out of the Matrix," declared on facebook always makes me giggle a little.
