I didn't even make it to this level before it collapsed for me, before the stage started to feel not only unfulfilling but dangerous, like a place that could do things to my ego that I did not want to feel happen. Re-engaging in "motherhood" parenting my 2 grandkids has been the most transformative, maturing, and rewarding thing I have ever done. No stage needed. Just lots of patience, care, and rewiring for everyone involved. And I am figuring out how to write while doing it!

Thanks for writing this. I super relate to this: “And I found, in that, something I had been circling for years without knowing it: the relief of existing outside visibility. The strange and nourishing quiet of creating from within a life, rather than projecting outward from it.” 💕 Appreciate you putting it into words.
